Welcome Business Owners!

Our rural towns have hundreds of small to large businesses that run our economic engine, and we are humbly grateful if you are one of those local business owners, or are someone that invests in them. Whether you're a small local retail shop located in a downtown historical district, or operate at a large warehouse facility in an industrial park; whether you're busy running a farm, ranch, or restaurant; or are content to be operating a cherished home-based business; we have a place for you at the energy table. Just like our homes, much of the energy you use to run your business comes from out of town sources, at ever-increasing prices, and often using polluting fuels.

We're helping to reduce that flow of energy money out of town for several reasons: to improve your bottom line, to fix your operating costs, to make your business more valuable & stable, to free up more capital to invest in your company, and to keep our dollars here where they will be reinvested in the community. Whether it's electricity, natural gas/propane, or gasoline/diesel, we're here to help you improve your local business and the community, by providing ways to use less energy (or produce your own!) while still doing profitable business in our beautiful rural Sierra Nevada region.

Click on the information below to see all the ways you can save money and re-direct it into your company and the local economy, thereby strengthening the community, creating jobs, and improving your happiness, business health, and property values!

(It's important to note that some incentives are rebates that come AFTER a project has been completely paid for, requiring the full cost to be paid upfront. However, there are now many options for financing energy upgrades for businesses. Ask your lender or contractor for info.)

UTILITY COMPANY FAQ

With large parts of our area served by PG&E for electricity and natural gas, and Pioneer Community Energy providing that power to some of PG&E's customers, there have been a lot of questions.
